I am a single mother who has a 15 year old daughter that has a 40/46 curvature of her spine. My children have been unisured for over 5 years. I work a full time job and if I choose the option for family health coverage I might as well not work at all. I teach at a cosmetology school and I love my job. I have paid out of pocket for chiropractic care over that time and I love all that it stands for. I let someone scare me into taking her to see an orthapedic doctor today, and it has been a nightmare. I prepaid the visit before I ever saw the doctor. He was not very friendly and as soon as I shared my chiropractic story the treatment of my daughter and myself diminished. He took more x-rays and told us our only option was surgery.
