I am 26. I did check for my scoliosis when I was a student. Doctor said I do not need to check it any more. I was 17 that time. But now I think I need treatment. Do I have hope to reduce my curvature? Thanks and God bless.

There is always hope!!!
There is a common misconception that upon skeletal maturity (when you quit growing), the curves will stabilze. There are studies now that show that the curves do progress. You, of course, are living proof, as are many others. The positive take on this is the fact that not only can the curves get worse.....they can get better! There are many whom have gone through the CLEAR treatment that have had wonderful results even after skeletal maturity.
Find a CLEAR certified doctor near you and have an evaluation.
If you need assistance, please let me know. I will be happy to help.

Many Blessings,
Dr. Sue Bosler

Hello;

(FYI, for those of you who aren't familiar with Gonstead, it's a type of chiropractic technique; many people remember it because the neck is adjusted while the patient is sitting)

Many different chiropractic techniques have success stories to share about patients with scoliosis who improved after care. The biggest weakness in all of these chiropractic techniques, however, has always been consistency - getting and achieving similarly good results with each and every patient. Not every patient will improve after generalized chiropractic care. In fact, research conducted on diversified (generalized) chiropractic adjustment did NOT find an indication for its effectiveness in scoliosis (Lantz 2001). This is why CLEAR's system involves so much more than only the adjustments.

Every chiropractic technique "works" - it's just a matter of what they work best for! If you had heart disease, you wouldn't go to a podiatrist. CLEAR doctors are specifically trained and educated about the complicated spinal condition that is scoliosis, and have specialized resources available to them that aren't found in every chiropractic office.

As always, please never hesitate to contact me via this forum or directly at jwoggon@clear-institute.org! I wish you the best of health and happiness.

Warmest Regards,

Hello, Tahnoon;

My heart goes out to you for your trials! Please know there is hope. Although we do not currently have any CLEAR clinics in the UAE, we have had patients fly to CLEAR clinics from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries. The CLEAR Intensive Care protocol includes follow-up, at-home rehabilitation protocols that are customized specifically for your spine; every scoliosis is unique, and the treatment should reflect this fact. It certainly is possible to come to the U.S. for treatment to "get the ball rolling," then maintain & improve upon the correction at home wiith the specialized exercises and equipment that your doctor prescribes.

The cost of treatment varies from clinic to clinic (CLEAR Institute is not a franchise and is not involved with the finances of individual doctors' offices), but averages around $3,000 USD for one week of Intensive Care, which consists of two 3 to 4 hour visits daily. Please contact individual clinics for information on their billing & fees.

if you have any questions, or if there is additional information or assistance I may provide, please feel free to get in touch with me via this forum or through e-mail at jwoggon@clear-institute.org. Keep Smiling! :-)

Best Regards,
Dr. Josh Woggon
