Calling All Chiropractors!

If you are or know of a chiropractor in the states listed below who might be interested in joining the list of CLEAR-endorsed scoliosis practitioners, please contact us at care@clear-institute.com!  Every day, CLEAR Institute receives phone calls and e-mails from people living with scoliosis, searching for a chiropractor close to them so they may begin treatment.  There is no shortage of people in need of care!  In fact, according to some statistics, approximately 5% of the general population has scoliosis.  In a nation of 274 million people, this means that over 12 million cases of scoliosis exist, and 500 more people are diagnosed with scoliosis each day.  We have the equipment and knowledge to make consistent, permanent corrections to scoliosis - all we need from chiropractors is persistence and determination!  Special discounts on seminar DVD\'s and equipment will be available to the first chiropractor from each state below to express their interest.  CLEAR Institute may even help pay for your travel arrangements to come to a Scoliosis Correction Seminar in Dallas or Orlando!  Please do not hesitate - contact care@clear-institute.com today.  We are committed to building a network of chiropractors throughout the world, and supporting them every step of the way as they become true spinal experts!

A Special Thank You to The American Chiropractor

America's most-read chiropractic magazine, The American Chiropractor, featured the chiropractic scoliosis correction technique promoted by CLEAR Institute in their May issue with a special article by Dr. Dennis Woggon, the founder of CLEAR Institute.  If you have not seen this ground-breaking new article, please check it out at:

The Key Aspects of CLEAR Scoliosis Treatment

Would you like to know exactly how our approach to scoliosis differs from the typical chiropractic or allopathic approach?  Below are some key points which CLEAR Institute addresses that many other methods of scoliosis treatment do not consider:

How the Head Affects the Spine
Most scoliosis treatment centers make the common mistake of assuming that scoliosis begins in the spine.  In truth, the loss of curve in the neck creates a loss of stability.  This, combined with pressure & interference with the parts of the brain & spinal nerves responsible for synchronizing the body's sensory input from the trunk with the motor output from the brain, drive the postural muscles inappropriately and create a spinal torsion - namely, scoliosis.  Trying to correct a scoliosis without considering the role of the head is much like trying to change the direction of a train without looking at which way the engine is pulling the boxcars!

Isometric Exercises vs. Isotonic Exercises
Back in 1941, the American Orthopedic Association stated that exercises do not work in regard to treating scoliosis.  A study published in the scientific journal Physical Therapy came to a similar conclusion in 1979, and this has been accepted as fact ever since.  Unfortunately, the exercises performed by the test group were all isotonic (leg lifts, sit-ups, etc).  This is relevant because isotonic exercise (meaning exercise with motion) does not affect the postural muscles of the body!  The only way to strengthen the core muscles along the spine is through isometric exercise - that is, exercise without motion, perfomed against constant resistance.  CLEAR Institute is the only organization devoted to scoliosis correction in America that makes this important distinction.  Clinics in Europe do prescribe isometric exercises as a method of scoliosis treatment, but unfortunately, they do not address the spinal subluxations which CLEAR-endorsed chiropractors are trained to diagnose and correct.  One clinic in Germany has demonstrated a 40% success rate in stabilizing or correcting the scoliosis; this is the second highest in the world next to CLEAR Institute, which has had a success rate of 100% in compliant, non-surgically-treated patients.

Neuromuscular Proprioceptive Retraining
There's more to rehabilitation that just exercise, though.  Even if the postural muscles are restored to equal strength, the nervous system will continue to utilize the same muscles it has depended upon throughout the development of the scoliosis.  This will slow down correction, and eventually reverse it.  The best method of retraining the neuromuscular pathways is through vibration therapy; the frequency of vibration overrides the righting reflex, effectively placing the body in a state of flux, and rendering it susceptible to remodeling through a system of weights and traction designed to de-rotate and decompress the spine.

Ligamentous Laxity & Fixation
Speaking of vibration therapy, there is one more way that CLEAR Institute uses this revolutionary new treatment method to address the complex abnormal biomechanics associated with scoliosis.  Chiropractic adjustments performed upon the scoliosis itself have largely been ineffective; in fact, ribs will often break before a single vertebra will move from its position!  This is due to the fixation of the ligaments.  Unlike muscles, which flex and extend, ligaments coil in on themselves, much like a spring.  This creates a much higher level of resistance, and prevents correction of the scoliosis until a way is found to uncoil the abnormally-tight ligaments.  CLEAR Institute has found a way through vibration therapy; a low, gentle frequency causes the collagen that makes up the ligaments & discs to relax, rehydrating and restructuring the tissue.  No other types of scoliosis treatment even attempt to rehabilitate the ligaments.
