My daughter is 11 and a gymnast and dancer, she was diagonosed at 10 with 29 degree curve, after being in a boston brace for 14 months, her curve has shot up to over 70. I am looking for an alternative to surgery. They are explaining to me about removing discs, using spinal fusion and and placing a rod from the nape of her neck to the bottom of her spine. She will have no movement to bend unless from the hips. Her dreams of being a gymnast have been shattered. Do you think your center could help her. Do you see children with curves that high? I live in Boston Ma, and would also like to know if there is a center closer to me, but I would travel if I had too. I have all her records, MRI's and Xrays on hand. Could someone please let me know if this would be an alternative for her. Thank You so much Lisa
