My son who is 14 was diagnosed and sent to an orthopaedic who gave us the wait and see approach. No need to tell what happened after that. He is going back for a 9 month checkup with the Spinecor brace. He is 27 degree in brace and 36 out of. His thoracic lumbar in his back has flattened out and he has a visible rib hump. He is very active and plays high school baseball. Has anybody else tried the Spinecor and if so what results have you or somebody you know had. Do you have to sit out sports while going through the Clear program because he pitches and would be disheartening if he had to but we're willing to do what ever it takes.

I am sorry about the 'wait and see response' you received by your orthopedic. Yes, others have tried the SpineCor brace and results vary depending on several factors. Correct classification of the patient's curve and proper fitting of the brace are essential to the success of the brace treatment as well as severity of curve and age.
No, you do not have to sit out sports while on the Clear program. However, one sided sports, like pitching should be avoided because it may create more rotation of the spine. I hope this was helpful. I wish your son all the best. Good luck on his 9-month checkup. Keep us posted. And, thank you for your post.
