Hi, I am 45 years old and have double curvature of about 44%. I have been living with scoliosis since I was a teenager. I constantly have backache, and it is affecting my sleep. I recently went to a Clear certified chiropractor outside the USA, and just started treatment for a few days. I am in-between jobs now, and therefore have time to go for my treatment everyday for a week. I find the treatment too intensive and aggressive for me, causing me soreness at my ribcage. I will be starting my new job in a few days time, and will not be able to commit to a course of treatment program due to my work commitment and working hours. While I have the desire to try out the Clear program, I am also realistic with my expectations given my age and the fact that I will not have the time to do consistent treatment. I note that the treatment at the Clear clinic are mostly machine facilitated treatment. I cannot rely on machines for the rest of my life and also would not have the time to regularly go for treatment at the clinic. I am just wondering if there is any lifelong recommended home exercise which I can do to help me manage my pain and arrest the progression of the scoliosis condition. My Clear chiropractor has given me some head weights and prescribed some neck exercises which I can do at home daily. But I would like some advice on back muscle exercises which will help to relieve the pain and also strengthen my back muscles. I am also wondering if the traction chair will help, and what does it do exactly. Would it be appropriate and effective for me to use the chair if I do not go for the treatment at the clinic?
