“Everything is wonderful here in Mississippi, and my week treatment in Dallas was amazing. That was the toughest, most painful, life-saving, and rewarding week of my life. My lumbar curve went from 42 degrees to 29 degrees and thoracic curve went from 31 degrees to 26 degrees!! Before I met you, I was filled with such hopelessness and fear from seeing myself get worse each year. Now, I have hope. I have my life back. I finally feel wonderful. Since receiving my treatment and doing my exercises daily, I have not had a migraine in three weeks! Yeah! Thank you so much for using the talents God has given you. I could tell you "thank you" a million times and it would still not be enough! Your dedication, courage, persistence, and compassion have saved my life. I pray more chiropractors step forward and become "spinal experts" because they may just save a Mississippi girl's life.” Joan
“I look forward to my care. I’m excited to look at my x-rays, to do physical exercise, to think about my future, and even to just go clothes shopping or to the beach. The sense of empowerment that I gained as a result of CLEAR’s™ approach to treating scoliosis is priceless. CLEAR™ has changed my hopelessness regarding scoliosis. Not only have you changed my perspective of the condition I suffer from, but your overall determination and intelligence in life is truly amazing." Katie
"My shoulders now hang evenly, and my neck posture has greatly improved. I am most excited about the permanent curve reduction that I have experienced: 30 degrees to 12 degrees in just a little over 4 months." Jessica
“I wanted to share the results of my daughter's scoliosis treatment. We first discovered she had scoliosis in Feb 2007. She had a 50 degree thoracic curve and a 26 degree lumbar curve. We were told anything above 35 degrees was a candidate for surgery. Since her curve was a 50, we were told she should have the surgery. The doctor said he had an opening within a week! We did lots of research online. I came across the CLEAR Institute's® website and read all I could. We started going to a local chiropractor to see if he could reduce her curves before we decided on surgery. My daughter is very active and I did not want to see her lose any range of motion from back surgery. In Jan 2008, I revisited different websites to re-read a lot of the literature on scoliosis treatments and options. I read all I could on the CLEAR Institute's® website and decided to take my daughter for a two-week intensive treatment. It was the BEST thing we could have done!! It was not easy because the treatments are intense. But, after two weeks, her curves had gone down to a 22 degree thoracic curve and about a 10 degree lumbar curve! She was no longer even a candidate for surgery. She has continued her treatment at home and we trust that on our follow up x-rays, there will even be more improvement. I would encourage EVERYONE to seriously consider going to a CLEAR Institute® certified doctor for scoliosis treatment. They understand how the spine works, and they customize a treatment plan unique to your situation. During the time we were there, they made us feel like we were part of one big family. Each of them was personally interested in how my daughter was progressing and we all celebrated when she made such great improvement. If any of those reading this are faced with scoliosis treatment decisions, make sure you do your research. The medical community is making great strides in non-surgical options, and my family is certainly a believer in the effectiveness of them!” Janell and Rebekha
Hi, I'm new to the forum and I urge anyone considering surgery to check out The Clear Institute's website: www.clear-institute.com Here's why: My son has recently been diagnosed with scoliosis he's 17. They found his curve to be 57°. The surgeon scheduled him to have surgery within a month. He also had surgery at birth on his heart so I was devastated that they wanted to perform a 6 hour surgery on an otherwise healthy active young man. I researched the surgery and found out that 40% of the people who have the rod surgery are considered disabled within 5 years. And then I found out that the surgery doesn't stop the curvature and that it gradually returns to what it was pre-surgery and that the rods bend or break at some point almost 100% of the time. The studies showed that the higher the curvature the more likely that pain would persist long term after surgery. I knew I couldn't let them do that to him. A friend of the family told us about an alternative to surgery that we hadn't heard of. We started treatment 6 weeks ago with Dr. Matt Schwab in Eau Claire, WI which consisted of 2 weeks of intensive treatment and rehab done at home. His curve has gone from 57° to 46° and he's taller, his shoulders and hips are more even and his rib hump is much less visible. We aren't done yet, he'll continue to monitor it and we expect the curve to continue to slowly decrease. They have practitioners in quite a few states and their treatment is constantly being researched and upgraded. These doctors are amazing! They are dedicated to providing an alternative to a life changing and sometimes disabling primitive surgery. Our surgeon refused to talk about any alternatives and in fact said there were none. There are people out there who are living proof that this works and my son is fortunate enough to be one of them. I wish you all the best in whatever you choose but please know you do have a choice!! If anyone wants more details or specifics I’m happy to share his success story!

Thanks for the two exhilarating weeks of treatment. You changed my hopelessness regarding scoliosis. Not only have you changed my perspective of the condition I suffer from, but your overall determination and intelligence in life is truly amazing.

I must admit when I first started my treatments, I was a little skeptical. But now that my treatments are completed I couldn’t be happier. I am so pleased with my posture improvement and curve reduction.

My 17 year old daughter Annie, spent 3-4 years wearing a tight brace 23 hours a day that only kept her bad curves from getting any worse. After only a few months of treatment her curves were greatly decreased and her headaches and back pain are gone. I can’t wait to see the improvements over the next few months.

I think intervention should be taken early. Waiting only causes increased pain as time goes on. The curvature becomes worse during delay of treatment. Several months of therapy and home exercises’ is much easier than operating. With the tools and knowledge given to me it helps me to maintain a near normal life.

We started going to a local chiropractor to see if he could reduce her curves before we decided on surgery. My daughter is very active and I did not want to see her lose any range of motion from back surgery. Plus, the potential surgical complications did not sound very desirable! We went for about a year and her curves reduced to 42 and 19.
In Jan 2008, I revisited different websites to re-read a lot of the literature on scoliosis treatments and options. I read all I could on the Clear Institute's website and decided to take my daughter for a two week intensive treatment. We went to Dr. Stitzel near Lancaster, PA in Feb 2008.

Several years ago, I was in a terrible car accident. I hit the dashboard with my left shoulder, and I broke the windshield with my forehead. The following year, I began to develop pain in the neck and back, and I was diagnosed with scoliosis. I was sent to many specialists and surgeons, who tried to explain my pain and find a cure. Mostly, they just wanted to operate on me, without promising me less pain. I remember one neurosurgeon's plan was to cut a "V" in the back of my neck, chip out some of the skull around my brain stem, and possibly remove some of my cerebellum. He said it would allow spinal fluid to move better and correct my scoliosis. The funny thing is, he couldn't say that he was sure it would work, or if I'd even be able to live a normal life after it! Thankfully my parents refused and I chose to suffer through the pain. I continued on and graduated at the top of my class (with Honors), and I got my degree in Pre-Medicine. During this time, the pain was continually getting worse. I was going through bottles of Bayer Back & Body a month, and I could barely do homework or even drive. I would go to school, work as much as I could (living on pain killers) and sleep. That was my whole life. I had about given up on my dream of becoming a doctor when I met Dr. Bernard Fuh. He was the first doctor to ever tell me what was wrong, and also the first to offer a solution. Three months into the treatment I was pain-free and the happiest I'd ever been. I remember shopping with my mom and running out of the restroom crying. She asked me what was wrong and all I did was raise my shirt. For the first time in over eight years, my bellybutton was actually centered on my abdomen! It usually lied to the left about two inches! She just cupped her hand over her mouth and her eyes began to tear. It has been about a year since my first treatment and I am glad to say I have my life back. This experience has been so life-altering for me. In fact, I've finally decided what kind of doctor I'm going to be and I start classes a Parker College of Chiropractic this fall. I know I want to join in on the Clear Institute and treat scoliosis the way I was. I have been given a heavenly gift of new life and I can think of nothing better than to pass it on! Thank you!!!
